The fashion industry produces around 100 billion garments every year—yet 92 billion of them end up in landfills. Perfectly good clothes, discarded or incinerated, to make room for the next wave of trends.
We believe in small-batch production so we don’t contribute to this waste, but learning the full extent of the industry’s wastefulness was a shock. Some of those discarded garments don’t even make it to the stores—they’re discarded straight from the factory.
Clothes discarded in Atacama desert, Chile.
So, we decided to do something about it. We began sourcing these unwanted clothes, and from there, our upcycled collection was born.
But this story doesn’t end there.
We wanted to add our own touch—traditional Andean motifs—while also creating meaningful opportunities. That’s why each piece in this collection supports the artisans we work with in Peruvian prisons, providing them with training, paid work, and the chance to start their own businesses.
This collection is about second chances—giving garments a new life, creating opportunities for those who need them most, and proving that even in a system built on waste, we can choose a different path.
Because together, we can rewrite the story. Together, we can change the narrative.
